Introduction To Laser Eyelid Surgery

By Craig Lipper

Eyelid surgery is also called as the blepharoplasty. In this the look of the person is changed by making sure that the droopy eyelids are gone and the excess fat is sucked out. The upper eyelids or the lower eyelids both can be resurrected but the fact is that it is the upper eyelid that gives more of an old age look.

That said there have been techniques that are out there to correct the upper and the lower eyelids. The traditional way is to correct the eyelids is that you will need to have the big incision in between the folds of the eyelids and then use that incision to suck out the excess fat.

Once the fat is out then you will have to make sure that the eyelid is sutured again in such a manner that the incision is not visible. The laser technology has helped get over this as the targeted laser will help make a very small incision. This incision will be used to suck out the excess fat. The incision is so targeted and small that it will not be visible to anyone at all.

That translates into the fact that you will be able to go back to work the very next day. There is no major precautions that need to be there in the case of the laser Blepharoplasty. Now the major decision that you will have to make is that whether you will want to have the laser done or not as it is definitely costly and expensive than the traditional surgery.

The main point here is the expectations. Keep them realistic and make sure that you discuss your expectations with the doctor. This will help you to avoid the depression later on if things do not turn out the way you wanted. - 30516
